Adolescence is the transitional period between childhood to adulthood or the age group that falls between 12 to 20 years of age. So, these teenagers encompass psychological, social and moral terrain and strictly physical aspects of maturation. It is because of these transitions in them that the children feel anxious about bodily changes not in their control. Their priority changes to their personal appearance and with an innocent attempt to be ‘healthier’, they fall into the trap of fad diets that are socially acceptable and claim to be good instant weight loss diet. With this, they fall into the vicious diet cycle. A number of wrong habits, lifestyle changes, dietary tips for relieving stress and keeping oneself ‘healthy and active’ were shared.
When talking about health and dietary tips, these may vary from one person to another taking into considerations various aspects of ones’ health parameters, family history, health concerns, lifestyle including the profession of an individual. To express gratitude for inspiring hope, igniting imagination and instilling a love of learning, a session was hosted by Anupreet Kaur Sobti, Founder, to address the health concerns faced specifically by teachers due to their prolonged hours of dedicated work.
