  • LIST DOWN SMALL TARGETS TO BE ACHIEVED– Do not attempt to make unrealistic goals which may only leave you in disappointment.
  • FOCUS ON HEALTHY LIFESTYLE CHANGES THAT STICK– Do not just focus on losing weight by depriving calorie intake. Keep a check of your activities. Eat and Sleep well and do not ignore any of your bodily needs.
  • SUPPORT YOUR BODY’S IMMUNITY – You’ve learnt to keep a check on wearing masks, using sanitizers, following hand wash regime and maintaining social distancing. But did you keep a check on your immune system. Make an attempt to strengthen your immune system by stocking up a few simple ingredients like turmeric with anti- inflammatory property and coconut oil that helps in reducing inflammation and digesting fat soluble vitamins. Enrich your plate with colourful vegetables and stock your fridge with citrus fruits to get your dose of Vitamin C.
  • SUFFICIENT SLEEP- With increased workload we often indulge in caffeinated beverages without realizing how tired our body actually is. This disturbs our sleep, which in turn causes stress that again hampers our immune system. Be thankful to your body and allow it to afford enough sleep of about 8 hours.
  • GET UP AND GET MOVING- Exercise must be an important part of your hectic schedules. If you’re tired, have rest but must include light to moderate exercise in your daily routine. It will help you keep in shape and boost your immunity too.
  • ASK FOR SUPPORT- Do not hesitate to ask for support from a professional if needed. Dietitians can work best for you if you need help with your diet to keep your body in shape and to strengthen immunity keeping in mind your various other medical conditions. Do not forget to enlist support from your family and friends. Your transformation will further encourage many more to develop a healthy lifestyle.

It is necessary to keep in mind that Lifestyle Transformation is not an overnight process. It takes time and works with your consistency and dedication. Remember, a little progress each day adds up to big results.
